Colón
River beaches and hot springs
One of the prettiest towns on the Uruguay River, with sandy beaches, hot springs and old mansions. It's the base for El Palmar and the Palacio San José, Urquiza's residence.

Getting there
About 320 km from Buenos Aires on Route 14. The General Artigas bridge connects it to Paysandú, Uruguay.
