Salinas Grandes
A white sea on the Puna
At nearly 3,450 meters, this salt flat stretches between Jujuy and Salta as a white plain that fades into the horizon. Local communities harvest the salt by hand and guide visitors.

Getting there
Route 52 from Purmamarca, about 65 km over the Cuesta de Lipán. Go slowly and drink plenty of water because of the altitude.
